The increase in IOP can lead to the optic nerve fibres which may cause a gradual loss of sight. Careprost ( Bimatoprost Ophthalmic Solution 0.03% (3 ml) Eye Drops) can increase the drainage of aqueous fluid out of the eye causing a decrease in IOP and preventing loss of sight. These eyelash growth products also help in treating ocular hypertension to lower IOP. They also help in treating hypotrichosis that can be possibly caused due to abnormal eyelash growth. It is produced to maintain the normal eye pressure. The Bimatoprost in Careprost ( Bimatoprost Ophthalmic Solution 0.03% (3 ml) Eye Drops) is joined to the same receptors in the eye as prostamide. This increases the flow of the aqueous humour out of the eye via a spongy tissue known as the trabecular network. When the flow of the fluid becomes balanced, the pressure in the eye is also lowered. Due to this, the risk of damaging the optic nerve and losing sight is reduced. Apart from that, it allows the consumer to get long, natural eyelashes.

These lipids heal the injury by stopping the formation of blood clots, inflammation, or blood flow. Like prostaglandin, Bimatoprost performs a similar function of rebuilding the damaged area around the eye. It stabilizes the eye pressure by flushing out the aqueous humour from the eye through the trabecular meshwork, which is a spongy tissue at the base of the cornea. Lumigan 3ml
Lumigan (Bimatoprost Eye 3ml 0.03% Drops) (Lumigan )

How does Lumigan work?

Lumigan eye drops contain the active ingredient Bimatoprost ophtalmic solution which is prostaglandin derivative. The medication works by improving drainage of fluid from the eye and thus helps decrease high intraocular pressure. By lowering introcular pressure Bimatoprost prevents damage to the optic nerve. Along with decreasing pressure in the eyes, Bimatoprost stimulate eyelashes growth making them darker, thicker and longer. It is believed that Bimatoprost opthalmic solution activate the growth phase of eyelashes growth, making this phase longer.

Mode of Administration

Lumigan is an ophthalmic remedy that is administered directly in the affected eye. The recommended treatment dosage is one drop per day in the affected eye in the evening. The increase of dosage regiment does not increase the therapeutic effectiveness of the medication but otherwise reduces its efficacy. It is very important to follow the recommendations of your health care provider to ensure the treatment is carried out in the proper way.

Make sure not to touch the tip of the bottle because of the high risk of contamination.

Do not wear contact lenses while applying this medication. Wait for approximately 15 minutes before you can put the contact lenses back again.

Do not apply Lumigan with other ophthalmic medications. The interval should be not less 15 before and after application of any other eye medication.

How does Lumigan work?

Lumigan eye drops contain bimatoprost 300mcg/ml, a synthetic analogue (mimic) of the naturally occurring prostamide, which is a prostaglandin-like chemical that has distinct and specific actions in various tissues of the body, including potent ocular hypotensive (pressure reducing) activity. The build up of pressure in the eye that is seen in glaucoma is caused by a blockage in the draining system for the eye fluid called aqueous humour, which is produced continually to maintain normal eye pressure. Bimatoprost in Lumigan eye drops binds to the same receptors in the eye as prostamide and increases the flow of aqueous humour out of the eye through the spongy tissue called the trabecular network, which is the conventional drainage route for the aqueous, by reducing the tonographic (pressure-sensitive) resistance to outflow of aqueous humour. As the flow of fluid into and out of the eye becomes balanced again, the pressure in the eye is lowered and this reduces the risk of damage to the optic nerve and loss of sight that can happen if glaucoma is left untreated.

Lumigan bottle Side Effects

As with any medication, side effects that are associated on the normal use of the medication at recommended amount of dosage are expected to occur. Any of the following side effects are considered common side effects of Lumigan:

Alphagan (Brimonidine Tartrate Ophthalmic Solution Eye Drops) (Alphagan )

Alphagan (Brimonidine Tartrate Ophthalmic Solution Eye Drops) work?

Alphagan (Brimonidine Tartrate Ophthalmic Solution Eye Drops) contain the active ingredient Alphagan (Brimonidine Tartrate Ophthalmic Solution Eye Drops), which is a type of medicine called an alpha agonist. It works by stimulating alpha receptors found on blood vessels in the eye.

The pressure within the eyeball is naturally maintained by a continuous flow of liquid called aqueous humour through the eyeball. Aqueous humour is produced by a part of the eye called the ciliary body. It drains out of the eyeball through channels called the trabecular meshwork. If the outflow of aqueous humour is blocked, as in glaucoma, the aqueous humour builds up inside the eye, increasing the pressure within the eyeball. This pressure needs to be reduced, as otherwise it can damage the optic nerve and impair vision as a result.

Alphagan (Brimonidine Tartrate Ophthalmic Solution Eye Drops) stimulates alpha receptors found on the blood vessels that supply the ciliary body. This causes the blood vessels to constrict, and reduces the amount of watery fluid that filters out of the blood vessels to form aqueous humour.

Alphagan (Brimonidine Tartrate Ophthalmic Solution Eye Drops) therefore works by reducing the inflow of aqueous humour into the eyeball, which decreases the pressure within the eye. It is used to treat conditions where there is raised pressure in the eye, such as glaucoma.

Alphagan (Brimonidine Tartrate Ophthalmic Solution Eye Drops) are used to treat glaucoma in people who cannot use beta-blocker eye drops. They may also be used in conjunction with other types of eye drop, for example beta-blockers or prostglandin analogues, to treat glaucoma in people whose eye pressure has not been lowered sufficiently with one medicine.

Eye drops are used to produce a local effect in the eye, with minimal effect on other parts of the body. You can further minimise the amount of medicine that is absorbed into your bloodstream and increase the local action in the eye by pressing on your tear duct (the corner of the eye closest to the nose) while putting in the eye drops and for a minute after.
